The perfectly optimized ESS Tuning S85 naturally aspirated ECU software for the E60 M5 and E63/E64 M6 is a result of extensive road and track testing to optimize the calibration of ECU parameters and extract more performance on either a stock car or in combination with other modifications. Typical gains are a conservative +15-20hp and +15-20ft lbs of torque from software alone with calibration available for additional modifications.
The ESS S85 M5/M6 software starts with the latest BMW factory operating system and is developed and tested in extreme heat in the Arizona desert as well as extreme cold temperatures in Scandinavia to ensure flawless performance under any condition imaginable.
The ESS Tuning E-Flash OBD2 programming system allows the end user to upload the ECU tuning software directly to the car from any PC running Windows XP or newer. The system also includes full diagnostic and code clearing capability. Any future ESS software updates can be received by email and loaded directly to the car. The stock ECU software will be saved and can easily be restored in the future. This system is compatible with the latest tuner protected ECU software and does not require a backdating of the ECU software to be able to tune it.
